Student Artwork of the Week

28th March - 8th April 2011

Student Artwork of the Week got lost last week due to the madness of the end-of-term run-in, so I've decided to reward a whole class group in a joint SAotW to cover the last two weeks of term.

The Year 8 Learning Pathway have been studying cubist artwork for five or six weeks. They have looked at the work of Pablo Picasso, made their own observational drawings and cubist collages, and have finally completed their project outcomes, an 'emotional' cubist painting inspired by Picasso's 'Weeping Woman'.

These are the results:

Year 8 Cubist Outcomes: Top to bottom, left to right-
Georgia, Alfie, Tia, Emine, Susannah
Alex, Gozde, Laura, Tia, Rohat
Kiymet, Piotr, Volkan, Marlon, Bradley, Charlie.

This is a really great set of paintings. Well done to all the students who produced them!
